Student Engagement

Western Heads East (WHE) commits itself to being Western's Community Response to the HIV/AIDS crisis in Africa.

A highlight of this program is the ability to actively engage students with individuals and communities “on the ground� by facilitating essential program goals and providing valuable research opportunities.

The WHE-Internship Program is a challenging, dynamic, competitive, multidisciplinary and international learning opportunity.

Interns will have the opportunity to:

• Teach sustainable business skills
• Collaborate on new kitchen & laboratory facilities
• Promote awareness to Western University's community about the HIV/AIDS crisis
• Receive a course credit
